in much, much pain
09.30.03 (11:42 am)   [edit]
mood: owwwwww!!!!!
song: can't think of one

k this is gonna be short and the grammer/spelling/punctuat ion will suck, but i am only able to type with my left hand, and i am right handed.

k, so probably the worst day i've had in months ... maybe years, lol. Right after scoring a huge goal for soccer in gym class, i tripped, over extended my arm, twisted it and landed on it ... the grinding/crunching sound was the worst part. I, being as stubborn as I am forced myself to finish the class despite not being able to move nor feel my arm - and it burned to the touch in one spot as weird as that is. Anyhoo, basically spent the next while afterwards explaining to the gym teachers what happened, filling out a huge accident report form, and calling my mom away from a meeting. Went to a clinic where it was thought i had dislocated my shoulder but that turned out wrong. Then went to the hospital where they think it's torn ligament tendons or watever or severly damaged tissue. Yay.

so now I sit, trying to adapt while waiting for results on the x-rays(damn nurse wasn't very kind for those, pffft). So yeah.

Funny thing is. i'm more worried about missing school work 'cause i can't write than anything, lol

i think i'm gonna go now. left handed use of computer is annoying me. :p

The very long, long day

Mood: Bad headache(way to go Kyle, lol), but very cheery since I got home from school
Song: "Save Me" Remy Zero

Yes! I am getting in the Smallville mood now. Especially after Tom Welling's drool-worthy appearance on ABC's "The View" today. Ooooooh, such an adorable guy! I loved the interview, because it wasn't all the usual dull questions about Smallville that everyone knows the answers to. It was all serious discusion and Tom's opinions on real issues and some totally sweet comments about marriage with his wife, Jamie. Aww! But yeah, I won't get too into that, because ya'll get way too bored, I'm betting. Just know it was great . . . and Tom looked SO good (as he does always, but this morning even more so).

Also caught Kristin Kruek on Live With regis & Kelly today. She's such a beautiful girl. Funny too. Though her little interview was focused mainly on Kelly asking her what it was like to kiss Tom, lmao. Hey, I'd wanna know too! Too bad Kristin never gave a real answer, lol.

Tom called into a couple radio stations too. One really early at like 7am. After he had hung up, the people at the station started ragging on him, saying he wasn't a morning person and stuff. Pffft, shut up people! Tom Welling just phoned you! Be happy!
Tom was also on TRL - though I don't know how that went yet, because I don't have the US MTV.

Anyhoo. Good stuff, good stuff. 2 days!! 2 days!!! Whoo-hoo!! 2 days!!! :D:D:D:D

'Righty then. School today seemed to last forever. Got kicked with the ball too many times than I would've wanted too in gym class for soccer. Downside of playing defense in an indoor gym class, lol. My team ended up losing 3-2. Oh well. Math I was way behind in, but managed to slightly catch up at noon hour - still have 3 two-sided pages of dumb work to complete tonight though. Damn, I hate math. Science was . . . weird. Just ask Geoff or Chris. We had to draw a diagram of uh . . . well uh, something "down there" of a guy, and well - I didn't do it, lol. I know, I know. I should be serious about it . . . but, I'm not, lol. Just no. English was english. Wrote another poem, which I'll put up on here later. And then Drafting was alright. Got 10/10 on both my magazine covers that I designed on the computer. So yeah.

That's my day. Now I gotta go shove down some more tylonel, because my head is killing me (thanks to Kyle's hair pulling), and my computer sounds like it's going to blow up - very, very, very loud. I'm getting scared now . . .

*runs away and takes cover*

New Quiz Thing
09.28.03 (5:29 pm)   [edit]
Mood: Just plain happy
Song: "Weapon" Matthew Good

First off, everyone must hear the song "Weapon". I love it! Have for a while - I think it first came out like last February, but oh well. Good song.

Alex found another cool quiz. Yay. Here I go:

Explanation of username: My first name and birth date

3 quick weird/interesting facts about yourself:
1. I like the flavour of bananas, but I'm allergic
2. Mentally disabled people scare me
3. I've broken 11 bones in my body, hehe

How do you feel on?
Drugs and Have you ever taken any?: Don't know because I never have, nor ever will take any
Alcohol: Tastes good, but can be bad if you have too much
GAY/BI issues: They're people too. They have feelings, why does it matter if a guy wants to marry a guy or a girl loves a girl? It doesn't affect straight people, does it now? I despise the people who think so.
Welfare: Uh, no opinion because I'm not sure what it is, lol
Food: Is . . . food
Depression: Happens way more often than you may think
Art: I like it. Alex is great at it . . . and I fair well only in poetry, because I can't draw to save my life.
Music: Defines my entire world and would die without it
Movies: Love 'em, Love 'em, and Love 'em!

What is something you feel strongly on? Uh, not quite sure.

Top 3 Bands/Artists:
1. Evanescence
2. Linkin Park
3. Lifehouse

Why?: Because they're amazing (?????)

An awesome lyric/quote:
"I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone."
-The Shawshank Redemption

Most embarrassing moment? I'm not even going to say.

What did you do about it or what happened after? (look above)

Top 3 Movies
1. Driven
2. The Shawshank Redemption
3. A Walk to Remember

Why did you pick these?: Well, they're good movies, lol

Finish this sentence: I wish I could_____?: Uh, meet Tom Welling? lol
If you designed a t-shirt what would be on it?: Canada is NOT as cold as everyone thinks - we're boiling hot too
Where is you most favorite place to go: Eh, someplace with friends . . . or on my computer
Best commercial on T.V.?: Those Dairy Queen ones and the ones with the rabbit & hamster for Blockbuster, hehe
What's your guilty pleasure?: Smallville
Any words of wisdom? You're not alone - it happens to everyone
Your most favorite web site? Hmm... Devoted to Smallville

D. Your opinions on life are… It's life. It happens. Get over it.

Unexpected Revelations
09.27.03 (12:32 pm)   [edit]
Mood: A little scared, a fair bit lousy, and very worried
Song: "Don't Forget Me" Red Hot Chili Peppers

Funny thing about the people around you. From the outside they can look so happy, carefree, and joyous. But do we ever really know what they're feeling on the inside?

I just recently found out some things about someone whom I thought was a very close friend, and suddenly my thoughts towards the person have drastically changed. I mean, I just had no idea. I guess it may have been expected. We are teenagers; the supposed age group in which emotions run high, turmoil is grand, and thoughts of 'leaving it all behind' are a common occurence. I guess I was just naive - too naive to see the truth.

And now I'm scared.

I'm not going to give too much away to protect the identity of the person I'm speaking of (I think they know who they are), but I will say that I hope he/she finds help and relief and knows that I, along with the rest of our friends are all here for him/her.

I'm just sorry I never saw it before.

Pep Rally and a Football game
09.26.03 (7:47 pm)   [edit]
Mood: Estatic
Song: Some sort of classic rock/sports cheering/celebration song that I don't know the name of.

Yeah, sorry for being so skimpish on the song details, lol. It was playing while me, Geoff, Kyle, Caiti, and Geoff's brother Andrew were all illegally crammed into a tiny Cavalier after the football game, lol.

Yes, the football game. Our school beat our arch-rivals 36-0!!!!! Whoo-hoo!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Even though it was freakin' cold out, I had a blast!!! We were lucky enought o get there about a half hour before the game started, and got seats at the very top of the bleachers. Within an hour, we were surrounding by about a thousand screaming, cheering (and cold) team fans - though the fans of the opposing team weren't cheering, lol. They were losing (haha!!). But yeah, so trying to figure out the game was a little hard - took a lot of a explaining by Geoff and Kyle, but it was my very first football game. Who can blame me? Right after the first half, this guy came and joined us. He was SO cute! And he had the most amazing blue eyes. Came close to putting Tom Welling's to shame, lol. (just kidding - Tom rules the green/blues, this guy rules the baby-blues, lmao). But anyways, he had such a great sense of humour, I found out he's in drama with Caiti (oooh, a creative guy, hehe), he plays on the J.V. football team for our school, and he's just all around hot. He was looking at me a *lot* too - could it be a sign? lol. He's got a really cool name too. Sefton. How original :D. K, enough babble. Geoff's probably reading this and thinking that I'm crazy. Anyways, back to the football game. It was just SO cool! I must go to another one!

But, before the game, our school held a very . . . eventful pep rally. I personally had never been to one before and had no idea what they were all about, other than what I had briefly seen in movies and on tv. Well, it was pretty cool. We started off with the student council and football team putting on a little game for studnets who held winning-numbered tickets from the school barbeque earlier today. Those four people then had to go through a little obstacle course, and the person who won . . . got to spend the football game with four friends right at the center yard line in a hot tub, lol. Great for such a cold day like today. The winner ended up not being able to go, so 4 of the most popular people at the school (naturally) got to go in the hot tub. They even ordered pizzas, lol - pffft.
But anyways, right after the little game session went down . . . the fire alarms went off, lol. We were quickly ushered out of the school and a couple minutes later, a bunch of fire trucks and abulances pulled up. Pretty funny, to be honest, because it was caused by the smoke machine (which I'll explain later) reacting with the sensors in the building. Anyways, a few minutes later, we went back into the gym were the pep rally continued. Players were introduced in a funky spotlight/smoke/music/che ering parade and I found out who all is on the team and doing what and whatever . . . and the fire alarms went off again, lol. So yet again, out of the school, fire trucks came back . . . and the school spent a couple thousand dollars paying the fire department for their trips, lol. Don't think they'll be using that smoke machine again anytime soon.

Well, I guess that's about it for me to blab about now, lol.

5 more days 'til Smallville!!!

Long Thursday's
09.25.03 (8:33 pm)   [edit]
Mood: Exhausted
Song: "Bye Bye Boyfriend" Fefe Dobson (just picked up the single, and I gotta say that it's kick-ass!)

Hi there fellow tBloggers! Thanks for uh, being kind enough to waste your time reading this, I guess.

Today seemed to last a really long time. Tonight especially. Though that could be because I spent over 2 hours doing 12 simple Science questions, which confused me beyond words - and the fact I fell asleep for about half an hour while doing so, lol. Sorry! Can't help it if I'm not able to find the time to sleep enough lately (damn school). But, I did manage to finish it eventually. Half-watched/listened to half an epi of Smallville, half of the new ER, the whole Survivor: Pearl Islands, and the first 10 minutes of CSI though, lol. Some crazy stuff going on in all those shows (well, except Smallville, because I just watched it off of one of my tapes, lol).

6 more days 'til Smallville! 6 more days 'til Smallville!! Whoo-hoo!!! I'm so freaking out here, lol. I'm even ahead of myself in dates. I wrote 'Sept. 27' on all my math pages today, handed them in and everything . . . hope the teacher doesn't mind, lol. I'm getting very impatient.

After school today was really fun. Geoff, Kyle, Caiti, and I went over to Kyle's (as per usual, being that he lives closest to our high school and not out in the farmland like the other 3 of us). We climbed around in a huge tree that's behind his house for a long time. It was so cool! We even got Kyle's camera and took a bunch of pictures - which'll be up on mine and/or Caiti's sites ("It Happens" and "Just Ducky"), as soon as the film is developed. Should be interesting to see how they turned out. :)

Something I keep forgetting to mention in my blog, but has been on my mind a lot is some of the latest news in my high school. A 15-year-old kid who is one grade above me commited suicide this past weekend. Really saddening. I never really expected anything of the sort to happen in such a smaller community like ours, but I guess it does. Best wishes out to his family & close friends.

On more of a happier (if not more boring) note, I'm going to do this little quiz thing that has been passed around lately. First by Alex, then Caiti, then Renee (whom I think believes Caiti is me, lol).

So here it is:

1) First Grade Teacher: Mrs. Thickens
2) Last word you said (not sang): "Okay"
3) Last song you sang: "Bye Bye Boyfriend" Fefe Dobson
4) Last person you hugged: lol, umm, my very, very outgoing friend Camrean hugged me today in English class - does that count? (yeah, she's kinda weird some times)
5) Last thing you laughed at: Most likely at something Geoff said today, lol.
6) Last time you said I love you: I have no clue - couple weeks ago, maybe?
7) Last time you cried: Umm, on Tuesday night when I got really sick again after drinking a smoothie made with real-fruit. Forgot about my recently discovered banana allergy, lol. Damn them bananas.
8)What's in your CD player: Fefe Dobson's "Bye Bye Boyfriend" single
9) What colour socks are you wearing: white
10) What's under your bed: Old school projects on those dumb posterboard things
11) What time did you wake up today: 6:45am
12) Current taste: What the heck?
13) Current hair: long, straightened. Although it went back to wavy/curled now after a day of running around - stupid hair.
14) Current clothes: low-rise light denim jeans, and a fitted white/blue long sleved top.
15) Current annoyance: Damn headache I've had for the past few days.
17) Current desktop picture: A funky leaf-thing I created on my graphic program - though I wish it was Tom Welling, but my father won't allow it.
18) Current worry: Not getting around to having a shower soon so I can go to bed at an earlier time thatn 1:00
19) Current hate: Uh . . . how humans feel like crap when they don't sleep enough. Oh, and outdoor gym classes. We should not have to go outside when it's only 2 degrees C - though it'll only get worse, since we have to stay out 'til the end of october (and there most likely will be SNOW by then, ughh!)
20) Story behind your username: My first name and my b-day 1-6-89 (jan. 6, 1989)
21) Current favourite article of clothing: My Gap hoodie.
22) Favourite physical feature of the opposite sex: Eyes, hehehe. Tom Welling's are the best (though mine are the exact same colour so that kind of ruins it, but oh well)
23) Last CD that you bought: Fefe Dobson's "Bye bye Boyfriend" single. Bet you're getting sick of me listing that CD/song, lol
24) Favourite place to be: In my bed, lol. Nah, umm - someplace warm, hehe. (aka, not Canada)
25) Least favourite place: high school science class
26) Time you wake up in the morning: 6:45am
27) If you could play an instrument, what would it be: I play keyboard and piano, but I would really like to try acustic guitar (maybe I should figureo ut how to spell "acustic" first though)
28) Favourite color(s): Blue, red, dark green, teal
29) Do you believe in an afterlife: Undecided
30) How tall are you: Somewhere between 5'8" and 5'9"
31) Current favourite word/saying: "Why's this?"
32) Favourite book: "The Hunger" by ... someone who's name I can't remember. 3-words, last one starts with a C, lol.

35) Favourite day: Saturday, and Wednesday's for "Smallville"
36) Where do you want to go: Vancouver, Europe, New York, LA
37) Type a line you remember from any book: honestly, no idea
38) A random lyric: "I can't stand to fly, I'm not that naive"
39) Identify some things surrounding your computer: Phone, speakers, calculator, scanner, headphones, pen, paper, joystick
41) What do you want to be doing right now?: Watching the Smallville season 3 premiere episode, lol.

42) Favorite movies: Driven, X-Men 1&2, A Walk to Remember, Bourne Identity, 2 Fast 2 Furious...
43) Who is your hero: Unknown
44) Favorite Poem: Unknown.

Chilly Mondays and a new poem
09.22.03 (7:54 pm)   [edit]
Mood: Content, but headachey
Song: "Breathe" Nickelback

Yay for boring Mondays. The start of a new week, and a day in which to recover your sense of knowledge after a weekend of crazy fights with parents, and wacky movies with friends.

First of all, gotta plug a song right now. "Breathe" by Nickelback. I just heard it earlier tonight on the world premiere broadcast of Nickelback's new CD on the radio. The CD is definitely one to get as soon as it comes out. Tomorrow, I believe.

What else is coming out tomorrow? Smallville season 1 DVD! Whoo-hoo! Sorry, can ya tell I'm a little obsessed? I mean, I'm most likely not even going to get the DVDs tomorrow. Pffft. Stupid me and my dvd-player-less house.

Which is exactly why I'm going to the mall tomorrow or Wednesday to go and try and find a job!, lol. Oh yay. Well, I need (well, want, at the very least) more money. My parents are being a lot less hand-over-the-dough-ish lately, so I guess I'll need to work for it. Maybe it'll get them off my back too . . . Hmm . . .

Well, I've found myself to be very inspired lately. Inspired by what, I haven't quite figured out yet. But I don't really care. As long as I can keep these words flowing, I think I'm doing all right. Though it's a little unsettling that I can't seem to manage to write a possitive poem. Everything's just so dark, and angsty. Oh well.

Here's my latest slaughter of the english language, which I incidently wrote during English class today:

Silent Nights

She’s left in the dark
Alone now at night
Dreams of tomorrow
Try and make it all right

But the shadows don’t withdraw
As clouds cover the moon
Relief does not come quick enough
The nightmares arrive too soon

Silent screams then released
Though they stay unheard
Don’t know how to speak
Not a single word

No one cares for this girl
As she suffers alone
Her pain will not be lifted
Solitude will not be shown.

Feedback, anyone? I thrive for the stuff, lol.

A new poem by me
09.20.03 (11:34 pm)   [edit]
Mood: Getting worse by the minute
Song: "Going Under" Evanescence

Had another fight with my parents - this is what became of it:

Unwelcome Voices

Tell us what is the use of them
Those very few who are there
Do we really need such people?
Souls who do not care

They rant to you and dump on you
Screaming on and on
We could do without their meddling
So how long 'til they're gone?

A few years ago they meant something
Their hearts were filled with love
But lately their lives have darkened
Pushed on with a violent shove

We're left with shards of memories
Of those years so long ago
The voices won't stop beckoning
Cruel words tossed to-and-fro

So how do we move forward?
Before we fall upon our knees
We need help to continue on with life
Will someone guide us please?

Yeah, okay. Don't go calling the psychiatrict hospital on me. I'm not depressed or suicidal or insane or anything . . . at least I don't think so. :(

Life Is Good
09.20.03 (1:34 pm)   [edit]
Mood: Lovin' Life
Song: "Don't Dream It's Over" Sixpence None The Richer

Well, yes - I'm going to start doing the mood/song thing. It's really cool and fun. So deal with it, lol (and no, I'm not trying to copy you, Caiti).

This song is great, very nicely done and featured on the Smallville soundtrack, which I'm listening to right now - as is Caiti, lol. How cool is that. So I suggest to everyone to go out and buy it, because it is SO good!

A sunny day today - nice change from the gloomy cloudiness that's been filling the sky this past week. Just sitting around talking to Caiti on MSN, while waiting for a call from some of our guy friends so we can go watch a movie. Any suggestions people?

Feeling a little bad right now, because we ditched this nerdy boy who's been hanging around us a lot lately. I know it sounds mean, but he's so annoying and such a big geek - I don't want to give people an image that has me hanging out with some nerdy kid who tries to play on the JV football team, but is really just benched and acts as the water-boy. I had to spend all after school yesterday and all of last night up 'til 11 with him - it was no fun whatsoever. So yeah, okay - I don't care that we lied to him now, he deserves it.

Alrighty then. Kind of ran out of things to say.

4 days 'til Smallville Season 1 DVD!

11 days 'til Smallville Season 3 premiere on The WB!!!!

Tom Welling, First Dates, and Friendships
09.17.03 (8:43 pm)   [edit]
Today was a good day :D. I think so, anyways.

School was well, school. Though something interesting happened in Drafting class in last period. A friend of mine came over to me and was like "hey, do you think that guy in the back corner is hot?". I was just like "Uh, sure, I guess" (he sorta is - a 6 out of 10, lol). And she's like "Great! Because we're pretty sure he likes you - I'll go tell him you like him too" and then she ran off. Okay, so I began to freak, right? I mean, oh my god. I'm so lame - I've never even gone on a date before, or even kissed a guy (well, unless you count whatever the hell happened in grade 1 with my best guy friend Kyle, lol) and suddenly word that I *kind* of a like a guy is going to be immediately spread as said guy sits just 2 desk behind me. A few minutes later, my friend came back over and was all excited saying that the guy (his name is Dawson something, might I add I don't even know anything about him other than his first name, lol), might ask me out. Oh god, kill me now, lol. Right, so I'm a little nervous about going to school tomorrow. Like what do I say if he does ask me? I don't know if I want my first date to be with him, then again I want to at least go on a date at some point - don't want to be alone and single forever. How shallow am I, though? Ack!

Caiti!! Hola!! Thanks a million for your comments in your blog, girlie. Wow, you've been a posting tonight! Ditto to all that ya said. I love ya like a cool sister - here's to hoping this great friendship lasts a lifetime!

Now I must rant about my all-time favourite show which has a new season debuting in 2 weeks!! Whoo-hooo! Enter, "Smallville". The greatest show ever created, hosted on my favourite channel The WB. They played a ton of new promotional stuff tonight during the re-airing of the season 2 finale, and WOW! This season is going to be kick-ass! They've showed 3 season three trailers, and tonights was by far the best yet. Though I can't recall all that was shown, I do have it on tape and will watch it in slow-motion again tomorrow, hehe. There was also a couple commercials for the season 1 DVD which is coming out next Tuesday!!!! I so wish I had a DVD player and the $90.00 to get it (but I don't so damnit, I'll have to start begging). And then of course a couple new Fall Season promotional images, hehe. I'm sorry, but Tom Welling is SO HOT!! Just check these out! (going to have to link to the site, because hyperlinking an image wouldn't be a smart thing for me to do at this site) http://www.devotedtosmallvill...
OH! Awesome, that site (the greatest Smallville site ever, devotedtosmallville.com) just put up the 3rd trailer. Yay!! Ya'll can check it out here: http://www.devotedtosmallvill...

Okay, that's enough babbling from me for tonight. I'm off for bed. 'Night ya'll!!

-Cait

Good Ol' Saturdays
09.13.03 (4:45 pm)   [edit]
Today has been an okay day so far. Had a few arguements with my mother, eh, no biggie, I guess. Then went and saw 'Matchstick Men' with a couple friends. It's a pretty good movie. Very dramatic and it made you think a lot, but it also had a good touch of humour. I'd give it a rating of 4 outta 5. So yes, go see it y'all!

I'm starting to get worried about one of my friends. She thinks that no one cares about her or what she thinks or says. Which is not true. I care - she's my best friend. I just wish she would see that she's not alone. She's really such a great, caring individual and I don't want to see her become like one of our other friends . . .

On that note, I'm off to do advanced math homework - evil, evil stuff, I tell ya. :x

Rainy Hump Days
09.10.03 (6:25 pm)   [edit]
Today was well . . . alright, I suppose. The English exam continued (it lasts for 3 days and we don't even get marked on it - it's for the school division to see how good or bad we all are in english and math), though today's section was fairly easy. But I'm glad that part of it's over, anyways.

Downside of today, was that it was cloudy and rainy. But I guess it's what we needed here, for the farmers anyways. Though I would've much rather had the rain fall out in Kelowna and all :(.

No new word on the picture front - my parents are still both pissed off. :x Pfffft.

Going to take a sec to highlight my favourite website of the moment now. Fortress of El, a Smallville-related fansite, and definitely one of the best out there. The webmistress kicks butt, and is extremely talented in web design, graphics, and writing. As well as being an all-around cool person. You can check out the Fortress at http://www.fortressofel.com

Okie dokie, guess that's all for now. 'Til later!

Picture Day
09.09.03 (6:00 pm)   [edit]
Pfft. You know what I don't get? Mothers. Today, was school picture day. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Today, I was going for good. That was until I arrived at the gym and realized "Crap!," (okay, so I actually used a more harsh word, but you get the picture) "I'm the only one here who doesn't have the pamphlet/form thingy that was handed out last Wednesday in homeroom!". You see, my mother had thought that High School picture day was to be the same as Elementary/Middle school picture day. FYI, mother: it's not. You had to have your form filled out along with the money to get any type of photo package (hell, any photo at all other than the required free student ID card), and with you there when you get your picture taken. Notice, I just used singular - not plural. Yes, my oh-so-frusterating mother assumed that you will have multiple photos taken, then you will see the poses, choose the best, then select your photo package and pay, la-de-dah, 3 weeks later you have your pictures. No siree! So today at dinner, I informed her about this annoying conundrum, only to have her blow a gasket on me, blaming me for not knowing this, and yelling at me for her mistakes! Hello!! What the hell is wrong with this picture!?!

So anyways. I guess I'm not getting photos this year, unless we go to some other photographer (which I doubt), and what sucks because I can't exchange pics with my friends and all.

:::grumbles unpleasently:::

Alrighty then! Something else that was recently brought to my attention: The confusion between me, Cait and my best friend Caiti. No, we are not the same person. I am not her, she is not me, and we are a fair bit unalike. Fact of the matter is, we both have blogs here, and both our nicknames (ie. Cait/Caiti) look a hell of a lot alike. Well, we're not going to change it, so I guess ya'll have to pay more attention when you're reading, lol. Sorry! (Big shoutout to Sonu. Sorry for the mix-up fellow Canadian). :)

Okie dokie. Guess I'm out now. Off to watch "The O.C."! Whoo-hoo! Great show. If you all aren't watching it . . . well then what the heck are you thinking!?!?!! (j/k)

Headaches suck
09.05.03 (4:18 pm)   [edit]
What a day. School was well, no more different than usual today. Though because it's game day, all the Varsity and J.V. football players were wearing their jerseys, and oooh - there's some really, really hot guys, hehehe 8). But yeah, had my first homework assignment, which I finished while hanging out with my friends at the local coffee shop (yeah, we're known as regulars there now, lol - so very tv-show-like, isn't it?) after school.

Anyways, yes - headache now. Don't know why though. Maybe from the sun. Gosh darnit, earlier this week it was freezing! But today it was like super-hot summer heat. Oy vey! Not too good. Especially in my english class where there is no air conditioning on the second floor. Ughh. At least Gym is only 2nd period in the morning, so no mid-afternoon heat for that.

Saw some cool cars at the student parking lot at school today. Namely a Mercedes SUV (geez, that kid must really have a ton of money) and one of those brand new Hummer-2's (aka: H2). They had a ton of guys piled into that thing, lucky brats :? I really need to learn how to drive and get a car - it'd be SO much better than walking or riding my bike everywhere. But only 9 more months 'til I can get my learner's, yay!! :D

Okie dokie, me gone all babble-ish now, lol. I guess I'll stop.

Too-ta-loo!

A Poem By Me
09.04.03 (7:08 pm)   [edit]
Alrighty, so I was just feeling pretty bored and decided to write something real quick - honestly, I think it turned out pretty bad and kinda dark, but oh well. I'm not seriously feeling this way, I'll have you know, lol. I just like to write dark, angsty stuff, hehe.

Life At An End

The dawn rises through the window
Setting free a brand new day
As I sit up in my attic
Watching my life fade away

What happened to the memories
Of a time so long ago
When everything was perfect
And I had to much to show

There is no one out there
No one who even cares
The world is dark and lonely
And so I sit and stare

Pondering my empty life now
Is it worth that I'm alive?
There is no purpose or meaning
So out that window I dive

As I fall I come to realize
My life - I could not mend
I see the bright light ahead of me
As my time comes to an end

-Cait F. 9/4/03

And so there ya go! What do ya think?, lol. Pretty moody, eh? Oh well.

Day 2 of High School
09.04.03 (5:07 pm)   [edit]
Well, the first two days have actually gone pretty well. It just so turns out all my freaking out was for nothing, because it's all been smooth-sailing. :D Of course the excessiveness in the crowds is quite startling (over 1000 students a school that usually gets only about 800), for I was quite used to the small numbers at my old school (grades K-8 and only 300 students). But I'm getting used to it quite quickly.

Lucky for me, already got my schedule and room numbers down, so no more map and timetable, lol. For classes I have Advanced Math, Gym, Science, English, and then Drafting to deal with for this first semester. Science has been the worst class so far, the English teacher is a nerd, the Math teacher is one of the most hilarious guys I've met, the gym teacher is young and really cool though I'm not a big fan of the part about having to change into gym clothes in front of the other girls (i'm used to having change rooms, lol), then Drafting class is awesome because we really don't do much but draw, colour, design, make things on the computers, etc.

All in all, High School and grade 9 have been really cool! Quite a few hot guys too, hehe. 8)

School
09.02.03 (10:23 am)   [edit]
High School . . . to dread or to embrace? That is the question I have been asking myself as of late. Should I be afraid of the change - the new school, the new people, the new teachers, the new classes, the new everything? Should I be happy for it all - the bigger school, the better classes, the new people to meet, the more interesting sports teams? Maybe I need to stop thinking about what I "should" be doing or feeling, and begin to set my mind to what I "want" and "need" to be doing. Logical, no?

But yes, High School. In less than an hour I will find myself at the doors, ready (in some ways) to begin the first day of the next 4 years of my life. How will the other students think of me there? Hate me? Like me? Not even notice me? For yes, I may be sounding quite self-centered at the moment - but these are the things a teenager worries about when beginning practically a whole new life for herself. Or maybe it really all won't matter. It'll be just like middle school and elementary school where no one really cares about what you do with your life and your time in the school, and you become free to roam about doing whatever your little mind pleases. Then again, it would be naive of me to think like that. And in this day and age, being naive is not always a good thing.

And so I sign off now. Not completely ready to face this new endeavor, but will experience it in what hopes to be a enjoyable mood. For why am I worrying so much . . . there are millions of other people in the world who face the exact same situation, right?

So why am I so worry-some . . .
